at the intersection with Hughson North, to offer you help in making a decision about your pregnancy, and to offer help for your baby.

Birthright's volunteers listen one-on-one to provide personal attention and completely confidential help.

Birthright volunteers are non-judgmental and caring to offer friendship and emotional support.

They can provide:

  • Free pregnancy testing
  • Prenatal information.
Before and after you give birth, Birthright offers
  • Maternity and baby clothes
  • Housing and social agency referrals
  • legal, medical and educational referrals
  • Information on other community services
  • Information on adoption

Adoption Services
  • Adoption is one of the options Beginnings discusses with people in crisis pregnancies.
  • It is a full-service adoption agency licensed to process adoptions for residents of the Province of Ontario.
  •  Beginnings has staff to provide social work services for all parties involved in an adoption plan, as well as the required legal work.

OptionLine's consultants are available to take your calls and e-mails at answers@optionline.org 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They will listen to your needs, and connect you to a local pregnancy centre that offers free pregnancy tests, consultations about all pregnancy options, and many other confidential services.


St. Martin's Manor: 905-575-7500
Helping young women have their babies

St. Martin's Manor is a residential home and support centre for pregnant and parenting young women.

  • Young women can live at the Manor during their pregnancies and for three months after they have given birth.
  • Young women can visit for day programs if they choose not to live in the residence.
  • Those in residence and in day programs gain:
    • access to regular medical care
    • pre-natal classes to prepare for birth
    • parenting classes after the baby is born
    • an on-site classroom for high-school credits.
Outreach workers offer support to pregnant teens and teens caring for their babies by meeting with them in places where the teens can feel safe and comfortable, such as secondary schools, health clinics, youth shelter, drop-in centres and food banks.
Family home visitors work with teens who are pregnant or caring for their children through a Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program.

A program of Catholic Family services of Hamilton, St. Martin’s Manor provides service to people of all faiths and cultures. No one is turned away due to their inability to pay.
St. Martin's Manor is licensed under the Ministry of Children & Youth/Child & Family Services Act.
